Ryzen Threadripper 1900X vs Ryzen Z1 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen Z1 is faster than the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen Z1 has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen Z1. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen Z1. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen Z1 has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
