Ryzen Threadripper 1900X vs Core i7-1360P benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X beats the Core i7-1360P in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i7-1360P has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-1360P has significantly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X that has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-1360P. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Core i7-1360P also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
