Ryzen Threadripper 1900X vs Core i7-1270P specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-1270P beats the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-1270P has significantly more cores than the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X. Indeed, the Core i7-1270P has 12 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-1270P. The Core i7-1270P outputs less heat than Ryzen Threadripper 1900X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i7-1270P has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X. The Core i7-1270P also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
