Ryzen Threadripper 1900X vs Core i7-10700 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-10700 is faster than the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-10700. The Core i7-10700 outputs less heat than Ryzen Threadripper 1900X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-10700. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
