Ryzen Threadripper 1900X vs Core i5-12450H comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X is faster than the Core i5-12450H. Despite this, the Core i5-12450H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-12450H. The Core i5-12450H outputs less heat than Ryzen Threadripper 1900X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-12450H. The Ryzen Threadripper 1900X also has slightly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1900X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
