Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 vs Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX comparison
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 beats the Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX has significantly more cores than the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX has 24 cores compared to 12 cores found in the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. It also has more threads than the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. Despite this, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Ryzen Threadripper 2970WX also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
