Ryzen 9 7900 vs Ryzen 9 8945HX specs and performance

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 9 8945HX has slightly more cores than the Ryzen 9 7900. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 8945HX has 16 cores compared to 12 cores found in the Ryzen 9 7900. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 9 7900. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 9 7900 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 9 8945HX. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. The Ryzen 9 8945HX outputs less heat than Ryzen 9 7900 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 9 8945HX has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 9 7900. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
