Ryzen 9 6900HS vs Ryzen 7 5700X3D specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D beats the Ryzen 9 6900HS in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 9 6900HS in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 9 6900HS. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Ryzen 7 5700X3D also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 6900HS has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
