Ryzen 9 5950X vs Core i9-13900K benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i9-13900K performs better than the Ryzen 9 5950X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 9 5950X in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i9-13900K has significantly more cores with 24 cores whereas the Ryzen 9 5950X has 16 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 9 5950X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i9-13900K. Despite this, the Core i9-13900K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 9 5950X CPU outputs less heat than a Core i9-13900K CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i9-13900K has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 9 5950X. Despite this, the Ryzen 9 5950X has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i9-13900K.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 5950X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
