Ryzen 9 5900X vs Core i9-13900KF benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Core i9-13900KF beats the Ryzen 9 5900X in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 9 5900X in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i9-13900KF has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 9 5900X. Indeed, the Core i9-13900KF has 24 cores compared to 12 cores found in the Ryzen 9 5900X. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 9 5900X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 9 5900X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i9-13900KF. Despite this, the Core i9-13900KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 9 5900X CPU outputs less heat than a Core i9-13900KF CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i9-13900KF has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 9 5900X. Despite this, the Ryzen 9 5900X has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i9-13900KF.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 5900X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
