Ryzen 9 5900HS vs Core i9-10900K benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i9-10900K performs better than the Ryzen 9 5900HS. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 9 5900HS in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i9-10900K has slightly more cores than the Ryzen 9 5900HS. Indeed, the Core i9-10900K has 10 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Ryzen 9 5900HS. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 9 5900HS. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i9-10900K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 9 5900HS. A Ryzen 9 5900HS CPU outputs less heat than a Core i9-10900K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 5900HS has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i9-10900K. Despite this, the Core i9-10900K has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 9 5900HS.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 5900HS has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
