Ryzen 9 4900HS vs Core i9-10900 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i9-10900 performs better than the Ryzen 9 4900HS. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 9 4900HS in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i9-10900 has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Ryzen 9 4900HS has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 9 4900HS. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 9 4900HS has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i9-10900. Despite this, the Core i9-10900 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 9 4900HS CPU outputs less heat than a Core i9-10900 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 4900HS has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i9-10900. Despite this, the Core i9-10900 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 9 4900HS.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 4900HS has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
