In our benchmarks, the Xeon Platinum 8170M beats the Ryzen 9 3950X in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 9 3950X has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Xeon Platinum 8170M has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 9 3950X.
