Ryzen 9 3900X vs Ryzen 7 2700X specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 9 3900X beats the Ryzen 7 2700X in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 2700X in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 9 3900X has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 7 2700X. Indeed, the Ryzen 9 3900X has 12 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Ryzen 7 2700X. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 2700X.
