Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G vs Core i7-12800H benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G beats the Core i7-12800H in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-12800H in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-12800H has significantly more cores with 14 cores compared to the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G that has 5 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-12800H. Despite this, the Core i7-12800H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-12800H outputs less heat than Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Core i7-12800H also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
