Ryzen 7 7735H vs Core 7 240H benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 7 7735H beats the Core 7 240H in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core 7 240H in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core 7 240H has slightly more cores than the Ryzen 7 7735H. Indeed, the Core 7 240H has 10 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Ryzen 7 7735H. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 7735H has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core 7 240H. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core 7 240H has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 7 7735H. The Core 7 240H also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 7735H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
