Ryzen 7 7700 vs Ryzen 5 7600X specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 7700 performs better than the Ryzen 5 7600X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 7600X in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 7700 has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 7600X has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 7600X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 7600X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 7700. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 7700 CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 7600X CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 7700 has slightly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 7600X. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 7700 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
