Ryzen 7 7435HS vs Core i5-14450HX benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Core i5-14450HX beats the Ryzen 7 7435HS in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 7435HS in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-14450HX has slightly more cores than the Ryzen 7 7435HS. Indeed, the Core i5-14450HX has 10 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Ryzen 7 7435HS. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 7435HS has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-14450HX. Despite this, the Core i5-14450HX has a slightly higher turbo speed. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Core i5-14450HX also has slightly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 7435HS has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
