Ryzen 7 6800H vs Core i7-12650H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-12650H is faster than the Ryzen 7 6800H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 6800H in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-12650H has slightly more cores than the Ryzen 7 6800H. Indeed, the Core i7-12650H has 10 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Ryzen 7 6800H. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 6800H has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-12650H. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 7 6800H has more L2 cache than the Core i7-12650H. Despite this, the Core i7-12650H has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 6800H.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 6800H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
