Ryzen 7 5800XT vs Core i5-14500T benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 7 5800XT beats the Core i5-14500T in overall performance. Despite this, the Core i5-14500T has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-14500T has significantly more cores with 14 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 5800XT has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 5800XT. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800XT has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-14500T. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-14500T has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 7 5800XT. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 5800XT has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i5-14500T.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800XT has more threads than cores.
