Ryzen 7 5800X vs FX-8300 comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 5800X performs better than the FX-8300. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-8300 in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 5800X has significantly more cores with 8 cores compared to the FX-8300 that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the FX-8300. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800X has a slightly higher clock speed than the FX-8300. In terms of cache, the FX-8300 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 7 5800X. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 5800X has significantly more L3 cache compared to the FX-8300.
