Ryzen 7 5800X vs Celeron N4020 specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 5800X performs better than the Celeron N4020. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Celeron N4020 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800X has significantly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Celeron N4020 has 2 cores. It also has more threads than the Celeron N4020. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Celeron N4020. The Celeron N4020 outputs less heat than Ryzen 7 5800X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
