Ryzen 7 5800U vs Ryzen 5 6600H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 6600H is faster than the Ryzen 7 5800U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5800U in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800U has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 6600H has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 6600H. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 6600H has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 5800U. Also, the Ryzen 5 6600H has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 5800U CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 6600H CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800U has slightly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 6600H. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
