Ryzen 7 5800HS vs Ryzen 5 7535HS specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 7535HS beats the Ryzen 7 5800HS in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5800HS in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 5800HS has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 7535HS that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 7535HS. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 7535HS has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 5800HS. Also, the Ryzen 5 7535HS has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 5800HS CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 7535HS CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800HS has slightly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 7535HS. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800HS has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
