Ryzen 7 5800HS vs Core i7-13620H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-13620H is faster than the Ryzen 7 5800HS. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5800HS in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-13620H has slightly more cores with 10 cores compared to the Ryzen 7 5800HS that has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800HS has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-13620H. Despite this, the Core i7-13620H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The info from our database shows that the Core i7-13620H has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 7 5800HS. The Core i7-13620H also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800HS has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
