Ryzen 7 5800H vs Core i9-11950H comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i9-11950H performs better than the Ryzen 7 5800H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5800H in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800H has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i9-11950H. Despite this, the Core i9-11950H has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
