Ryzen 7 5800H vs Core i7-1370P benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-1370P is faster than the Ryzen 7 5800H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5800H in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i7-1370P has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 7 5800H. Indeed, the Core i7-1370P has 14 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Ryzen 7 5800H. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 5800H. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800H has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-1370P. Despite this, the Core i7-1370P has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i7-1370P has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 7 5800H. The Core i7-1370P also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
