Ryzen 7 5800H vs Core i7-10750H benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 5800H performs better than the Core i7-10750H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-10750H in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 5800H has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Core i7-10750H that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i7-10750H. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 7 5800H has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-10750H. Despite this, the Core i7-10750H has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 5800H has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-10750H. The Ryzen 7 5800H also has slightly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
