Ryzen 7 5800H vs Core i5-13600K comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-13600K performs better than the Ryzen 7 5800H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5800H in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 7 5800H has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 7 5800H has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-13600K. Despite this, the Core i5-13600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 5800H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-13600K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Core i5-13600K also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
