Ryzen 7 5800 vs Core i7-12800HX comparison

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 7 5800 beats the Core i7-12800HX in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-12800HX in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-12800HX has significantly more cores with 16 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 5800 has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 5800. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-12800HX. Despite this, the Core i7-12800HX has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-12800HX outputs less heat than Ryzen 7 5800 thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Ryzen 7 5800 also has slightly more L3 cache.
