Ryzen 7 5700X vs Core i5-13450HX benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 5700X performs better than the Core i5-13450HX. Despite this, the Core i5-13450HX has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-13450HX has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 5700X has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-13450HX. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. In terms of cache, the Core i5-13450HX has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 7 5700X. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 5700X has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i5-13450HX.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
