Ryzen 7 5700U vs Core i5-1350P specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-1350P beats the Ryzen 7 5700U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5700U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-1350P has significantly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Ryzen 7 5700U that has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-1350P has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 5700U. Also, the Core i5-1350P has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, the Core i5-1350P has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 7 5700U. The Core i5-1350P also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
