Ryzen 7 5700G vs Ryzen Z1 Extreme benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen Z1 Extreme is faster than the Ryzen 7 5700G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5700G in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5700G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen Z1 Extreme. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen Z1 Extreme has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 7 5700G. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
