Ryzen 7 5700G vs Ryzen 7 5800X3D benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D is faster than the Ryzen 7 5700G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5700G in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5700G has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Also, the Ryzen 7 5700G has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 5700G CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Ryzen 7 5800X3D also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
