Ryzen 7 5700G vs Ryzen 5 8400F benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 8400F performs better than the Ryzen 7 5700G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5700G in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 5700G has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 8400F that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 8400F. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 5 8400F has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 5700G. Also, the Ryzen 5 8400F has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 8400F has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 7 5700G. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
