Ryzen 7 5700G vs Core i9-10850K benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i9-10850K is faster than the Ryzen 7 5700G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5700G in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Core i9-10850K has slightly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 5700G has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 5700G. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700G has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i9-10850K. Despite this, the Core i9-10850K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 5700G CPU outputs less heat than a Core i9-10850K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 5700G has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i9-10850K. Despite this, the Core i9-10850K has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 5700G.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
