Ryzen 7 5700G vs Core i7-11700F benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-11700F is faster than the Ryzen 7 5700G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5700G in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700G has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-11700F. Despite this, the Core i7-11700F has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache and L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
