Ryzen 7 5700G vs Core i5-12600KF comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-12600KF is faster than the Ryzen 7 5700G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5700G in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-12600KF has slightly more cores than the Ryzen 7 5700G. Indeed, the Core i5-12600KF has 10 cores compared to 8 cores found in the Ryzen 7 5700G. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 7 5700G has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-12600KF. Despite this, the Core i5-12600KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 5700G CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-12600KF CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
