Ryzen 7 5700G vs Core i5-11600K specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-11600K is faster than the Ryzen 7 5700G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5700G in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 5700G has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Core i5-11600K that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-11600K. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-11600K has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 5700G. Also, the Core i5-11600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 5700G CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-11600K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 7 5700G has more L2 cache than the Core i5-11600K. The Ryzen 7 5700G also has slightly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5700G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
