Ryzen 7 4800HS vs Ryzen Threadripper 1920X specs and performance

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X is faster than the Ryzen 7 4800HS. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 4800HS has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 4800HS has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 4800HS. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 4800HS. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 4800HS CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen Threadripper 1920X CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 7 4800HS. The Ryzen Threadripper 1920X also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 4800HS has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
