Ryzen 7 4800HS vs Core i9-13900H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 4800HS is faster than the Core i9-13900H. Despite this, the Core i9-13900H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i9-13900H has significantly more cores with 14 cores compared to the Ryzen 7 4800HS that has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 4800HS. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 4800HS has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i9-13900H. Despite this, the Core i9-13900H has a slightly higher turbo speed. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Core i9-13900H also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 4800HS has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
