Ryzen 7 3800XT vs Core i5-13600K specs and performance
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-13600K performs better than the Ryzen 7 3800XT. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 3800XT in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 7 3800XT has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 3800XT has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-13600K. Despite this, the Core i5-13600K has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-13600K CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Ryzen 7 3800XT also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 3800XT has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
