Ryzen 7 3750H vs Core i7-8700T benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-8700T is faster than the Ryzen 7 3750H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 3750H in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-8700T has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Ryzen 7 3750H that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 3750H. Our comparison shows that the Core i7-8700T has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 3750H. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 3750H has slightly more L2 cache than the Core i7-8700T. Despite this, the Core i7-8700T has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 3750H.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 3750H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
