Ryzen 7 3750H vs Core i7-6700K specs and performance

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i7-6700K performs better than the Ryzen 7 3750H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 3750H in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Core i7-6700K has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 3750H. A Ryzen 7 3750H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-6700K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 3750H has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-6700K. Despite this, the Core i7-6700K has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 3750H.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 3750H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
