Ryzen 7 3750H vs Core i5-7500T comparison

In our benchmarks, the Core i5-7500T beats the Ryzen 7 3750H in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 3750H in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 7 3750H has more threads. Our comparison shows that the Core i5-7500T has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 3750H. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 3750H has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-7500T. Despite this, the Core i5-7500T has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 3750H.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 3750H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
