Ryzen 7 3750H vs Core i3-9100 benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Core i3-9100 beats the Ryzen 7 3750H in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 3750H in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Ryzen 7 3750H has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i3-9100 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 3750H. A Ryzen 7 3750H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-9100 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 3750H has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i3-9100. Despite this, the Core i3-9100 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 7 3750H.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 3750H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
