Ryzen 7 3700X vs Core i5-11600KF comparison

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-11600KF is faster than the Ryzen 7 3700X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 3700X in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 3700X has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i5-11600KF has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-11600KF. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-11600KF has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 3700X. Also, the Core i5-11600KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 3700X CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-11600KF CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 3700X has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-11600KF. The Ryzen 7 3700X also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 3700X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
