Ryzen 7 2700X vs Ryzen 7 3700X benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 3700X performs better than the Ryzen 7 2700X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 2700X in all gaming tests too.

Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 2700X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 3700X. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 3700X has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 3700X outputs less heat than Ryzen 7 2700X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. When comparing cache sizes, these CPUs have an identical amount of L2 cache. The Ryzen 7 3700X also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 2700X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
