Ryzen 7 2700X vs CoreT i5-13500H benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 2700X performs better than the CoreT i5-13500H. Despite this, the CoreT i5-13500H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the CoreT i5-13500H has significantly more cores with 12 cores whereas the Ryzen 7 2700X has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 2700X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the CoreT i5-13500H. In terms of cache, the CoreT i5-13500H has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 7 2700X. The CoreT i5-13500H also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 2700X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
