Ryzen 7 2700X vs Core i7-1370P specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Core i7-1370P beats the Ryzen 7 2700X in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 2700X in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-1370P has significantly more cores with 14 cores compared to the Ryzen 7 2700X that has 8 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 7 2700X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 2700X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-1370P. Despite this, the Core i7-1370P has a slightly higher turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-1370P has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 7 2700X. The Core i7-1370P also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 2700X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
